Thank you so much for visiting my little corner of ETSY!
All work you see here is made by Madelynn Cassin. I use a combination of metalsmithing, wax carving, and various fabrication techniques to make my art. I hope you love it, because I can't tell you how much I enjoy creating it. I've always been preoccupied with jewelry and after the urging of my husband years ago, I decided to start designing what I was looking for and not able to find in jewelry stores. Something hand made, not machine made, something crafted and rendered by hand, not made on the computer. Perfectly imperfect and centered around gorgeous gemstones I find from around the world.
My workshop is based in New Hampshire, where I live with my husband, our 3 kids and our pets. I spend most days in the workshop, and take breaks to walk the pond or check on our garden. Moving here has brought some order to our lives, some simplicity and real appreciation for a simpler, slowed down life. I am kept inspired by my amazing ETSY girlfriends, who reside in NY, NY, Nashville and Outside of Dallas.
I love delicious, fresh and local food, New experiences, traveling, running, reading, trying to learn the banjo, my friends and family, our boxers and old Pug, Clementine. I strive for balance in my life so I can make a piece of jewelry that is infused with nothing but contentment, and happiness. Silly as it may seem, I think it's important.
My Sweet Baby Sister has begun working with me to pack, organize and generally help out. You may get a convo signed from Roxaynne from time to time. This is when I am busy in the shop and dictating to her over the phone. It works well and helps keep me in the studio and up on correspondence!
Please review my policies if you are considering a piece of my art. Thank you!
************ABOUT ME**********
You can read a little more about me here:

Working with metals and delicious gemstones is pure heaven to me and brings me a great amount of happiness to be able to spend my days in the studio.
********************Shop Hours************************
I have been so fortunate to have met such wonderful people here who have found me after looking for handmade jewelry, a self purchase, or a once in a lifetime piece of jewelry. After a few years of 80+ hour work weeks I have decided that in order to keep with the level of quality I strive to produce, I have to limit the hours of the week my shop is open. I want to keep the hours accessible to everyone, regardless of what country you are in, so I will close shop every Saturday afternoon until Monday afternoon. This means that I will be open and available to answer questions Monday night through Saturday!
*************My Handmade Processes!**************************
I use 100% recycled sterling, gold and palladium in efforts to minimize the effects of mining on our planet. Rather than a typical 925 sterling that ages and gets a blackened patina over time I favor using an alloy of sterling that is tarnish resistant, similar to Argentium, only with a superior WHITE finish and rich luster. It is nickel free and overall incredible.
I use only fair trade and conflict free diamonds, the majority of my gemstones from a local wholesaler whose owner and gemstone buyer holds a Graduate Gemology degree from the Gemological Institute of America. Each stone they receive is checked to be natural and they only detail in natural stones. I also favor select quality gems and select them exclusively.
On occasion I do use a heated or enhanced stone it will be written in the item description. For instance, a pink topaz gemstone is heated to make that crazy pink. If you don't like that, I would suggest other pink stones like a tourmaline or Rhodolite. BUT Pink topaz is a way to put a big beautiful ring on your finger without spending hundreds of dollars :)
**************Who works in my Studio?***************
I do!
On occasion I may be joined by one of our Boxers. They aren't great helpers, but they are great company. I am the only person making my jewelry in my studio. When you order a ring from me, THESE hands made it.
*****************PACKAGING************************
In terms of packaging I try to be as mindful of the environment as I can, I package all of my work in gift boxes made from 100% post-consumer materials and mail in padded mailers of the same composition.
