I love silly, quirky things. I love beautiful, elegant things. What happens when you smash the two of them together? Pacokeco's scribbles!
Each of my painstakingly created "paperphernelia" (my own made up word) would appeal to all ages because they combine fun colours and themes with a good, healthy dollop of sophistication.
I'm a hands on kinda girl. I also LOVE scissorwork - I've amazed my friends and family (and a few people who were not family and friends and had no obligation to be amazed) with my scissor dexterity.
My inspirations, without a doubt, are my three peanuts. Their interests are often reflected in the themes I choose. They are the reason I get up in the morning (although coffee is a close second) and my last thoughts before sleep. They are also the reason I have no time to blog. I wish I did because I have lots to say about everything.
I did learn to draw some pretty pictures (and, occasionally, a naked person) at the University of Windsor, where I earned my degree in fine arts. Since then, I've taught caricature drawing to wee folk, I've designed stationery for Cards & Accents Stationery Company, I've done graphic design work for restaurants, libraries, bakeries and even a retirement home, but papercrafting is my true passion.
Did you know:
~I handcut most of my tags? I wear a cotton glove to alleviate some of the pressure of the scissors, but sometimes I forget to take off the glove (a tribute to MJ, maybe?)
~Most of the cardstock I use is made from recycled paper? I want my grandkids to know what the heck a tree is.
~I ship almost every day? We don't have mail service in Canada on Saturdays or Sundays (or I'd ship those days too!) I carry my packages in a red crate, like Santa would do if he had a crate and shipped packages.
~I use archival pen and printer inks and archival quality acid and lignin free papers and cardstocks? These will outlive you! If you're 99, I'm sure you're thinking "big deal."
