Welcome to my little corner of the paper cut world! 剪紙, Kirie, Scherenschnitte, Vytynanky, ka'ti, Papel picado are all paper cut art forms practiced across the globe.

Nine years ago I started self-studying Eastern European folklore paper cutting; two years later transitioned to one-sheet solid color cutouts. Somewhere in between I arrived at my own original style & application of this traditional craft which I'm now excited to share with you on etsy.

I love working with outdated maps, dictionaries, vintage books and music sheets creating one-of-a-kind custom cartography and lexicography paper-cut art for those you heart.

Before I begin, each sheet of paper requires that I learn its texture, fibers and knots for my x-acto knife to find the best route for its cuts. When using solid paper I first draw the intended cut lines with a pencil on the reverse side - this allows me to cut the entire design in one beautiful piece. I cut through maps, book pages and music sheets freehand.
