===========My Story===========
I've always been making things and saying "I want to be an artist when I grow up". I didn't pay much attention, grew up and... here I am. An artist. That explains why all those other silly jobs didn't feed my soul.
I grew up in Manitoba Canada, north of the 53rd parallel. The population of The Pas {pronounced the-paw} is approximately 10,000. I have spent most of my life here, being so close to nature is such a blessing. I can walk out my back door, down a quiet path and and find myself inside a beautiful boreal forest filled with sounds only nature can make. It is very inspiring and has continued a part of me.
I am completely self taught. The techniques I use have been developed and honed over time through trial and error. I believe this has given me creativity great support as I go with the flow and let what happens, happen!
When I make my jewelry I do it peacefully. It's a form of meditation for me. I sit quietly and go away for a while into my beads and wire. I work in sterling silver, brass, gold fill or copper and have found they all have their own unique personality. When creating my jewellery I try to make every piece as unique as I possibly can. That means **I make the ear hooks, posts, clasps, ball pins and other findings** whenever the piece I am creating permits it. I love to have as much as I can possibly have made with my own hands. When creating jewelry 90% of the time I don't pre-plan what I am doing, I sit and do. Sometimes I am inspired by something I've seen and I loosely base a piece around that idea. Usually I end up adding spirals in somewhere. They come up in my work often, including my paintings. I'm a rock hound as well and I believe in the power of rocks and minerals, so working with gemstones is like working with old friends.

Found in cultures throughout the world and spanning across time the Spiral is an ancient symbol of evolution. Representing cycles of life, seasons, growth and change the image of the Spiral is sacred. Early associations with the Spiral are connected to the Mother Goddess which is linked to the process of life. Other understandings of the Spiral include the representation of a spiritual journey to a place beyond the visible world through use of the labyrinth.

Amethyst – Sign of Pisces, Virgo, Aquarius & Capricorn. Connects with spirituality and provides contentment. Clears the aura and relieves dysfunctional energy located within the body. Useful during meditation to promote and maintain a calm and peaceful state. Encourages sobriety, promotes sleep and combats headaches.
Ammonite – Sign of Aquarius. Fossilized animal. Stimulates those in the field of architecture or construction. Protective, gives stability and structure to one’s life. Encourages survival instincts. Aids in childbirth and depression associated with re-birthing.
Angelite – Sign of Aquarius. A stone to raise the state of conscious awareness. Provides a protective field and helps one in spiritual journeys as well as astral travel. Dispels anger, connected to the Angelic realms.
Astrophyllite – Sign of Scorpio. Helps to eliminate that which is blocking progression in life. Increases sensitivity of touch. Aids in the realization that “we are all stars”.
Aventurine – Sign of Aries. Connected to the heart chakra. Protects this chakra and protects against those wish to tap in and use the energy of another. Balances male/female energies, enhances creativity, leadership and instinctive action.
Azurite with Malachite – Sign of Sagittarius & Capricorn. Aids in meditation and provides flow to ones actions and promotes flexibility. Comforting by calming anxiety.
Bismuth – Sign of Aquarius. Relieves conditions of emotional and spiritual isolation. In transformation it directs the change to orderliness while calming and providing physical vitality. Transforms crown chakra energy to energize the base chakra.
Carnelian – Sign of Taurus, Cancer & Leo. Sacral Chakra stone. Used to dispel apathy, indolence and passivity. Powerful stone to stimulate creativity, personal power and compassion. Can be used as an elixir to help heal cuts and abrasions.
Cherry Quartz – From my research online I’ve found that Cherry Quartz is a manmade glass. Its pink colour would connect it’s energies with the Heart Chakra.
Chrysocolla – Sign of Gemini, Virgo & Taurus. Eases emotional heartache. Calms Base, Sacral and Solar Plexus Chakra. Gives strength and balance to expression and communication. Helps us to know when to be silent. Purifies the home and environment, removes negativity from within.
Citrine – Sign of Gemini, Aries, Libra & Leo. A form of Quartz. Does not hold negative energy, dissipates and transmutes it. Never needs clearing or cleansing in an energetic sense. “Merchant’s stone” said to increase income when placed in the cash box. Helps to maintain a state of wealth. Stimulates mental focus and endurance. Excellent stone for clearing the aura.
Coral – Sign of Pisces. Associated with the element of water. Represents diplomacy and concurrence, brings peace within the self. Facilitates intuition, imagination and visualization.
Cuprite – Sign of Virgo, Capricorn & Taurus. Grounding to the total body. Increases physical energy. Relieves needless worry.
Flourite – Sign of Pisces & Capricorn. Brings order to chaos. Known as “a stone of discernment and aptitude”. Increases concentration. Helps one to understand balance needed for relationships. Purifying and cleansing.
Garnet – Signs of Leo, Virgo & Aquarius. Known as “a stone of health”. Removes negativity from the Chakras. Enhances ones internal fire.
