Hi there, thanks so much for the visit!

I'm Marisa, the artist behind River Luna. My paintings are inspired by nature, space, culture, and my awesome 4 year old, River. He's pretty much one half of my work. Animal paintings are usually requested by him, and together we gather feathers, leaves, stones, and pretty twigs covered in moss which grace my painting table. I swoon for nature, and the organic patterns impressed on everything from the earth.

Art has always been prominent in my life. I never left home without my sketch book, and as a kid, I may have spent more time drawing my toys than actually playing with them. Painting is a meditative practice for me. I find great importance in art and handmade. It's in our nature to create, and important to nurture and continue that in our modern world...
