My passion for beads and ethnic jewelry started in 1962 when a friend of mine got a job working in a local bead store in Los Angeles. This passion eventually led to owning and operating retail jewelry and gift shops, creating beaded and hand wrought jewelry, wholesaling, and collecting.
In 1994 my shops in Portland, Oregon closed leaving me with a large inventory, much of which is now being offered on Etsy.
Following the closure of my shops I worked for our local school district as a special ed paraprofessional for children with special needs.
My main areas of interest are high quality beads, ethnic jewelry, finely made sterling pieces, netsuke, snuff bottles, and just about anything small with an accent on detail.
