My name is Melanie Royals, and I am a self taught stencil and decorative artist and entrepreneur. After teaching myself how to stencil over 20 years ago, I immediately began designing my own stencil patterns and doing decorative painting in homes and businesses here in Southern California.

In 1994 I launched my first stencil collection for Royal Design Studio at http://www.royaldesignstudio.com

Since then, I have created hundreds of elegant stencils and developed unique stencil techniques that I share through our stencil website, books on stenciling, instructional stencilling videos, and hands on workshops.
