Hello and welcome to Ruby Webbs! I am mama to a very busy three year old, Ruby, who is my main source of inspiration when creating with yarn. It began with one little hat for her, and then became a hobby which eventually brought me here. Ruby is my little model in most of the photos you will see.
When I am not busy making hats and playing with my Ruby girl, I also work as an avian biologist in northwest Ohio where we see sub zero temperatures quite frequently throughout winter. I wanted to create a hat that would keep Ruby warm and looking adorable on those frosty winter days. This inspired me to create a new "natural fibers" line made from "Blue Sky Alpacas" alpaca and wool yarn. Many of the hats from this line are made from natural, un-dyed yarn. I also enjoy using soft bulky acrylic yarn on many of my hats. I have found these hats to be very soft, warm, and durable...
