Getting Even contains all of Woody Allen's pieces from The New Yorker magazine to date, plus several other published items of hilarity, and a few new baubles written especially for this book.

Getting Even investigates such significant subjects as Organized Crime, the invention of the sandwich, the secret diary of a Latin revolutionary, and a day in the life of Count Dracula.

ON THE BACK COVER -

The remarkable collection of stories that make up Dubliners was described by Joyce himself as a series of chapters in the moral history of his community; and the arrangement of the tales reveals "a progression from childhood to maturity, broadening from private to public scope," as Harry levin noted in his introduction to The Portable James Joyce.

In fact, it is the scope of life that Joyce has limned in these stories--ranging from the opening tale, "The Sisters," in which the boy is confronted with death as he overhears the conversation of his elders, through the memorable "Ivy Day in the Committee Room" with its depiction of small-time politicians recalling their great lost leader, Parnell, to the exquisitely poignant "The Dead," wherein through the chance singing of a song a husband learns of a long-ago romance in his wife's life. While the geographic boundary of these fifteen stories may be middle-class, Catholic Dublin, the artistic boundary is set only by Joyce's far-reaching genius.

This mainly mustard blue knitted laptop sleeve and knitted MacBook sleeve is colorful, striped, bright & fashionable. This sleeve is custom made for your 13'' MacBook or MacBook Pro (but I can also make one for another laptop).

The sleeve is knitted with a thick yarn and thick needles to make the look a bit different. The sleeve is made in one piece out of (mostly) acrylic yarn and has a tight fit. In this way the laptop stays in it's place, although the sleeve is open on one side.
The sleeve comes with an white elastic that can be used optionally for extra security. It can be placed horizontally around the sleeve (see pictures other listings).

The sleeve is made in a smoke free home.
Colors may differ slightly because of photography and computer projection.

A twill woven basket uses numbers from Fibonacci's Nature Sequence to create the design. The " Golden Ratio" occurs with each directional change. It is hand shaped without the use of a mold and dyed with iron oxide and crushed walnut hull dye. A larger version is in the collection of the Smithsonian American Art Museum.

It measures 13" h x 15" diameter.

This MINT condition PC3-SV turntable from Braun, designed in 1959 by Dieter Rams is the turntable element of Ram's iconic SK4 series.
This turntable has a black socket so you can use it on it's own.

The turntable has never been used and will come in it's original box and papers just as you
can see in the pictures.
Very rare condition and great for a Braun collector or a nice vintage item to add to your home
and even put a record on.

The turntable has a european plug and is meant for 220Volt but with a convertor it is also possible
to use in any other country with a different voltage. Inside the turntable you will find a big black switch
know wich you can change the voltage meter of the turntable.

Imagined by Justin Miller, this image was cut and inked by hand, then pulled individually. Some variation may occur. The image measures 5"x 7" and was printed on Rives Cream BFK paper using Daniel Smith oil-based ink. This print is a linoleum relief block printed using a Craftsmen Superior letterpress.
