Kara resides in Chicago and handcrafts SecretSafeBooks as a full-time job at home. Her husband John also works full-time at Secret Safe Books, especially to take care of the more business side of the shop.
She earned her BFA in painting and drawing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago but has rambled from her starving artist tortured soul years into the more Zen land of cut, sand, glue...in the handcrafting of SecretSafeBooks.
