I have been making jewelry since I was old enough to put beads on a string. I love beads. They're everywhere in my house. In boxes, in drawers, on shelves, in my husband's shoes, in the vacuum cleaner..wherever a bead could possibly go. Which if you've ever worked with beads, you know that they go wherever they please.
I live in a rural part of Kentucky with my husband, Adam. I am half Turkish-Cypriot, upon which I blame my love affair with copper and my general obsession with ancient history. I have a full time job at a University.
My work is heavily influenced by fairy tales, mythology, history, and nature. I love working with vivid colors and interesting textures. I work mainly in silver and copper. Etching copper is my latest favorite, since it allows me to put even more of myself into my jewelry...
