Shane Smith is a glass artist that resides the moutains of Fairview, North Carolina. Shane is a self taught glass artist and has been flameworking for over 10 years. He gains inspriation from his surroundings, mostly nature. Shane grew up in Florida and was constantly on the hunt for his next fish, his next new addition to his array of reptiles or the next brand new creature to enter his frightened mother's household. Since childhood he has been obsessed with learing the habits and patterns of these animals & remembering the exact make up of each of these animals. As an adult this has translated into his glass. Shane's new glass creatures are truly of believable portion, size and scale. His color combinations with his use of texture makes each of his creations come alive.
