I’m a very bad knitter.
I’m a very slow, very bad knitter.
I never do a gauge.
I don’t know how to cable.
I have no desire to make socks.
I won’t even PICK UP single digit size needles.

BUT…BOY HOWDY CAN I UNRAVEL A SWEATER!

I started smart monkey about three years ago, selling things I’d knitted from the recycled sweater yarn, in a booth at farmers markets and street fairs.
But I realized two things.
First, I was making ugly stuff (being a bad, slow knitter and all).
Secondly, knitters would come to the booth and I could just tell they were thinking, “Well, I could do that…”. So, I started selling the yarn so they could.

I’ve spent the last three years learning the tricks and living through the trials, making all the mistakes that have perfected my sweater unraveling skill set.
If you’re thinking, “I could do that. I’ve been meaning to do that. I even have the sweater I want to unravel. I’m going to do that”.
Don’t.
You’ve got way too much to do in your life. Let me unravel that sweater for you.

And if YOU make gauges and cable and knit socks on needles the size of toothpicks…buy my yarn. You will make the beautiful things I could never make.
Help ugly and pretty sweaters be reborn into stunning new items.
