A hunter and a crafter and both sweet as pie, my parents have always been a very cookie-cutter couple. I always pictured them as a Mike and Carol Brady with their PTA meetings and Little League games. Then they bought a motorcycle. Now they are affectionately known in the family as "Snake and Roxy."

My pieces usually start as a wandering leaf of junk mail that has made its journey to my door. A lot of care goes into transforming the paper- painting, cutting, shaping, rolling, sealing, layering, sanding, assembling, etc.
Some of these brave sheets are broken down into pulp and made into a clay. Some pages get to stay in their solid state while being painted in a myriad of designs, or left unpainted to show off the fabulous colors of their advertisements.

Some of my pieces feature only one method; others combine them. And at the end of the day, covered in paper and paint, I'm thrilled with what I have made.
