Sol Sisters is mostly Krystal, but I often get help from my sister Norah, my daughter Holly and other folks.

A lot of my bags are named after my friends or characters in books. I read a LOT.

Sometimes we use commercial patterns.. lots of times we just make it up.

We also like unusual patterns in fabric and really have trouble using just one print. It's like this glorious paintbox and we just can't decide!

Graphic designer by day... I freelance here in Las Vegas for many of my own clients as well as "pinch hitting" for a lot of my friends with "real" jobs. I fill in for them when they have someone out or take on their overflow work.

My dad is a fine artist and craftsman, in the old, traditional sense ... love, time and attention to detail in every aspect of whatever he made from model trains to paintings to a new bookcase for my room that is still in service almost 30 years later. I learned his patient, quality-first approach watching him work from the time I was a toddler and don't see any reason why I shouldn't apply the same creed to my own designs. Please take a minute to look through my feedback. If you're not happy with your bag, I will make it right.

I'm the mother of Holly, who is 11 and adores rubber ducks. She is often the color selector for a bag when Mommy is feeling uninspired. She's also my most awesome model.

I used to make quilts.. but they take too long to finish... that is why some of our bags have a lot of patchwork in them. I taught my sister to create bags using flip and sew and now she's surprised me by teaching herself to create ribbon pictures.
