Alicia Dabney's Profile

About

Thank you for visiting my profile! I'm Alicia "Stardust". I'd like to tell you a little bit about Elements & Artifacts.

In my work, I seek to offer inspired treasures which hold stories of myth and magic; each one has its own tale to tell. I present my work in collections with overarching themes including but not limited to the seasons, my beloved Autumn months, Halloween, Yule, the pagan Sabbats, astronomy, and various expressions of nature and the elements.

As is true with most creative endeavors, my work slowly changes as I incorporate new techniques and inspirations with my own personal style. Artistic growth nurtures my creative spark!

I have a strong focus on wire wrapping, soldered bezel settings, sculpted metal clay, hand forged earwires and armatures, metalwork, and other artisanal techniques. I have been...

I have been creating jewelry, in some form or another, since 2005. I am mostly self-taught but own a vast library of jewelry textbooks which serve as reference (and the occasional sanity-check) for the more advanced techniques.

My wire work was first released in autumn 2009 and features a series of wire creations inspired by the filigree curves of the Art Nouveau/fin de siécle movement. My explorations with soldered bezel settings, metal clay in fine silver, copper, and bronze, and keum-boo were first released in autumn 2010.

This is my heart and soul, and creating things brings me endless happiness! No matter the medium, I take no greater joy than from sharing my work with others. I hope my creations can bring you a touch of beauty and inspiration!

My other interests include classical ballet and pointe, fire dancing, travel, reading, WoW, geeky things, and taking care of my beautiful little girl.

Warmly,
Alicia
