My name is Hesper Wolfe. I am originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, but now reside in Chicago, Illinois. I am a high school art teacher, crafter, and artist. Teaching, sewing, embroidering, and doing all things crafty are my true passions in life.

I truly enjoy salvaging various vintage table cloths, retro clothing, and maybe your grandma's old curtains for fun, new purposes. Motivated by my love of thrift stores, vintage fabric, and of course sewing, I began to create my own bags, purses, and other accessories from my spectacular finds. After a tremendous response from family and friends, I developed Subversive Seamstress Designs to sell my products to the general public.

All of our products are handmade in a smoke and pet-free environment from "green," recycled vintage fabrics.
