My name is Joy, as you could probably guess from my brand name. My chosen art form is crochet. I have been crocheting for 17 years. At least that is my definition of what I do, my father describes it as anger management.
I took, maybe 3, Granny Square crochet lessons when I was about 11 years of age and then did not pick up a hook again for 7 years. While I was a stage manager one Christmas production it became apparent that I had two choices, find an outlet for my frustration or kill my director. Well my director lived and is still a valuable part of my life and I crocheted two granny square baby blankets in a week. I soon got sick of the granny square and started to teach myself to read new stitches. I found that crochet came naturally to me. It captured my imagination and I wanted to make more of it. I love thread, addicted to it really, I also am fascinated with how soft recycled yarns can be, there are a few made with recycled plastic that blow my mind, and I just can not get enough of bamboo
