I love vintage fashions. Always have. When I was a preteen, my mother came home with a shirt for me and said: "this is the last shirt I buy for you since you don't like what I buy for you" after that I stared looking thought mounts of used clothes, professionally. I have 25 years of experience. I was in ebay for about 6 years, a top seller. But I made a mistake and they cancel my account. A top seller with an excellent feedback, Ebay doesn’t care about what you do right only what you do wrong. my user name was thekaliman. I'm now in bonanza, sense of fashion and Etzy.
I was born and grew up in the 60's, was a teen in the 70's. disco dance my way through college in the 80's, working as a drag queen in the weekends since I left home when I came out of the closet. travel all over México, USA and Europe, before settling in Laguna beach CA. where I stared my career as a vintage clothing dealer, I was a Goth, punk and club kid on the 90's, owned a shop called polyester in Laguna, the shop was in W magazine in 1994. I lost everything to the Laguna Beach fire of 93 first, drugs, second and stared all over again in LA in 97 after living in the streets for a year. Since 2000 my interest has shifted to the arts. Educating myself in modern art and designer fashion. I work the flea markets in LA the rose bowl and the trading post (Fairfax)and online. I had a liberal mother who encouraged me to be myself.
I'm very artistic and I have an "eye" so I had been told, many times. I appreciate beauty in things. Good design craftsmanship and quality. My clients over the years include many designers, some big names, and some independent freelancers. They are from all over the word. I also have as clients some of the best vintage stores in Europe, USA, and japan and many, many independent, creative fashionistas
I believe in the natural order of things and in giving back. I volunteer as a docent at LACMA for the last 10 years, and for the city of LA in preservation, I chair the HPOZ of Harvard Heights. I love to live in peace with the earth and in nurturing and supporting nature.
I love and respect animals. I believe in thank in them for their unconditional love to us and their sacrifice to our nurturing and survival. I respect humans as equals and try through dialogue to understand who thinks different than me. I believe in cosmic order and have a profound dislike of religion and books that dictate who should we love or hate. Or how we should conduct ourselves. I believe in living life and experience it as the ultimate teacher of morals and rules.
I have been in my own for the last 30 years and this is another outlet to share the beauty of things humans produce, at a price. Since to live I have to make money
