About

Someone once told me that fashion is fickle. That may be true, but it also defines us and helps us achieve self expression. Although fashion is constantly changing, fabric - with its' glorious colors and textures - is a constant and essential part of our lives. And besides, I think that for me at least, part of the allure of fashion is the basic fact that it IS in constant flux (how boring it would be if it was always the same!). We (designers and consumers) influence fashion's flow, and it in turn opens the door for us to reinvent ourselves every season (how fabulous!).

I collected Vogue magazine for about 7 years, memorizing every spread while I tried to recreate what I saw from thrift stores around town and my own Singer sewing machine at home. I collected Vogue magazine for about 7 years, memorizing every spread while I tried to recreate what I saw from thrift stores around town and my own Singer sewing machine at home. I sewed on the floor until I was pregnant with baby #2, when I finally decided I was getting too old for that (because apparently baby #1 didn't stop me from contorting myself into the necessary position to reach the machine!).

While my store focuses on gear for babies and parents, my two main buiness principles have always been: 1. to make totally functional products (no high-maintenance stuff here!) and 2. to have a cool and modern style that 21st century parents crave. We may be parents, but that doesn't mean we should forget our own rockin' personal style in the process!

My amazing children and my husband have supported and inspired me to create beautiful, functional items that are an expression of my own sense of creativity. Full of texture and color, with a hint of funkiness, they make me feel something special when I look at them, and I hope you can feel it too! After all, all you need in life is a little bit of the right kind of fabric.
