Assemblage Necklace - Art Deco Vintage

An art deco antique Czech jewel is just right for antique handmade glass bead chain and a soaring swallow that is an antiqued reproduction of an art deco antique. The glass beads in the chain are bittersweet or persimmon color and the links have naturally aged to a rich black coffee hue. A few hand linked, lilac opal glass beads add a note of whimsy -- and a vintage acrylic (1960s) link at the clasp brings in some friendly unseriousness, too. The clasp is a sturdy brass lobster claw. The cable chain finishing this necklace is new, nickel and lead free. It's made by the same company that designed and sold it more than 100 years ago, in the U.S. The length is adjustable by about 1 in.

I'm a cat person. Maybe destined to be one of those crazy old ladies with too many cats, as I find them hard to resist. They are elegant, mysterious, beautiful. And so is this. For the Year of the Tiger, an oversize tiger eye cabochon steals the show in this statement ring. The hand cut oval stone is about a whopping 1 3\/8" high by 1" wide, and sits in a bezel setting I hand fabricated just for it. It's soldered to a hand made and hammered sterling band, about a 1\/4" wide, just a tad shy of size 8. And my favorite part: a clever set of feline eyes are hiding on the back of the setting, watching when you least expect.

Long, silver "sticks" and garnet stones make for a striking combo! Fine silver (99.9% pure silver) wire was fused together, hand-formed into a long narrow loop, then hammered and textured to create a modern, organic look. A deep red garnet is wire-wrapped and dangled from each earring.

You can't beat these for uniqueness and style. ;)
