About
Tin tabernacles are a strange mix.... made of humble corrugated iron (they came in a a very large flat pack!) but often grandly adorned with carved wood barge boards and Gothic arch windows. I like their incongruity. Beyond their religious purpose they often house jumble sales, craft fairs and auctions...you never know what you might find! Yum. And so I chose ' tin tabernacle' as the name to represent my eclectic little shop.
It's true to say that have my fingers in lots of pies....I love being creative in all aspects of life and feel bereft if I can't be. I have been selling paintings since I was 11. I love old things and sometimes making them into new things. And I like to think. And play with words. And find inspiration in small things. And cook and eat and laugh....
I love the idea of the found object and it's possibilities. I like making something...
