My name is Merrill and I lead a band called tUnE-YarDs.

I create loops live on stage, with my voice and drums, so every performance is a new kind of instant artwork. A weaving? Knitting? Painting? It's different and imperfect and changing everyday.

In our store we sell handcrafted tUnE-YaRdS merchandise made by artists we love.

+Alex Chitty is a print media artist responsible for all the tUnE-yArDs album artwork (BiRd-BrAiNs and W H O K I L L as well as the posters featured in the tUnE-yArDs Etsy shop. She is based in Chicago and you can see more of her work at http://alexchitty.com.

+Miriam Lakes is a Brooklyn/Oakland based artist whose practice draws on materials we find in our daily lives. She served as art director for tuneyards' recent "Bizness" music video, and was excited to have the opportunity to collaborate with Merrill again on this project. Miriam made the tote bags featured in the tUne-yArDs Etsy shop.
