I am an artist and parent. I spend my days and evenings making Star House creations and spending time with my absolutely fabulous daughters, husband and dog.

I live and work at home, in a cozy, cozy house on a hillside that looks out at the so beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina and in a simple home just outside of Dallas, TX.

Some things I have been called are: an art instructor (10 years for wonderful arts/community non-profits), a preschool teacher (two years at an unbelievably fun natural preschool), an artist ( photography and found object paintings), a creative spazz (most of my life), and a total dork. I am a Capricorn so I get younger as I get older. This is fun and uplifting.

I love nature, color, mindful nourishment, creative reuse, being helpful, simplicity, growing things, the stars, the endless universe and light. My creative space is not contained, I store supplies and work all around our house and our yard. I have always loved the Theodore Roosevelt quote "Do what you can, with what you have, where you are". I think that his words point to the true creative spirit in all of us.

I believe that each of us at our core is pure light, like a star. I see these bodies as just houses for that light, hence the name Star House. May we all glow, grow, and shine.
