A little bit about me...
My name is Monique and I am a project manager who wishes she had more time to be an abstract artist, sculptor and jewelry designer. I live on coffee, dream and creativity. You only live once...so do what makes you happy and live life with thrust, truth and passion.
My love for jewelry started when I first discovered this amazing jewelry class that shared the same time slot as my bronze sculpture casting class. From then on it was a fabulous way for me to create objects of beauty that is wearable. It also cultivated my passion for collecting vintage jewelry, unique beads, pearls, and gemstones. You can say I'm a bit obsessed when it comes to collecting jewels...kinda like a jewel thief...hence the name "Voleur de Bijoux". But I also like to share my collection with others by creating new jewelry with these fabulous finds...so I think that makes it ok. :)
My inspirations comes from a million things. I love looking at the unique and strange beauty of our world, the people and objects in it. If you look close enough you will see loveliness in so many things. The deep shadows between two trees, the colors reflected in a drop of water, gold flecks in rocks on the sidewalk, the moment before the sun rises and takes over the bluish gray sky. These are the magical things that inspires me. They are living art within our world and a part of what makes this place so beautiful. I hope to create beautiful jewelry that will inspire you.
