She makes clothes for men and women. Good fabrics...good prints...good design... good colours. She likes fabrics that feel good on human being’s bodies. She thinks that clothes need to be versatile and totally wearable and hopefully freeing. She makes things with her hands and her heart – for people.
In the past Beattie went to uni and studied fashion and textiles. After a stint of Sydney Fashion and then the world of shirts in London she got into furniture in Surry Hills. But her dream was always to be designing and making her own clothes. Funnily enough “Beattie the Label” was born in a pizza restaurant in Melbourne in 2007.
Beattie sews in a little Shop with a dog called Gladys on the beaches of Sydney.
