About
I am an old enough hermit type who has seen a lot of the world and loves Northern New Mexico more than anywhere.
This fiber journey began in 1995, when I took my newly formed hand spun yarn business, Widdershin Woolworks, to Stitches East and learned a lot. I stayed with it and for the next ten years did Maryland Sheep&Wool, Stitches East & West, as well as the various regional shows. And then I disappeared...
The year 2005, found me in India being ordained as a nun, by the Dalai Lama. The next five years flew by as I was studying, doing retreat and traveling to Tibet, Nepal, China, Ladahk; all the while lugging a little Kromski spinning wheel. It wasn't easy... and yes, they called me the 'spinning nun' and the yarn was 'nun spun'. sigh.
