To me, art is neither a profession or a hobby. It is a way of being.

After returning to California after 16 years in Connecticut, I have been concentrating on printmaking, in an effort to expand my ever curious mind which is always searching for new ways to express my creativity, and teaching those who are interested in developing their creative abilities.

After years of selling my work through galleries nationwide, I have an now using on-line venues as outlets to expose my work to the public.

Over 300 of my serigraphs have been sold throughout the United States and Europe. My works can be found in numerous national collections, both public and private, including the Ford Motor Company, the Fluor Corporation, American Express, the Connecticut Historical Society's permanent collection, and the Cape Cod Museum of Art.

I hold a Master's Degree in Drawing and Painting and a California Teaching Credential, and have taught both in Connecticut and California.

What is a "silk aquatint"?
This type of etching is also referred to as a "silk aquatint" or "silk mezzotint" or "silk collagraph". It is an eco-friendly non-acid method of working a print plate where the image is created by painting with whitened acrylic medium on a black silk surface backed with plastic, to produce a variety of tones & textures. The plate is then inked, wiped (like a metal plate), and printed on an etching press. Each print in the edition iis subtly different, as each is inked and printed individually with great attention given to the quality of each print, and each print is considered an original work of art.
