I was always a tomboy; in elementary school, I was the lone girl taking the model airplane class in summer school, and in junior high I was the lone girl in the mechanical drawing class. Some things never change. *grin*
I've loved working with wood since childhood, & have recently renewed that love & put it to use creating beautiful wooden items that I hope others will enjoy as much as I enjoy making them. :)
