About

I am originally from Moscow, Russia, but have been living in New York City for exactly half of my life. For about 14 years, I worked in web and graphic design in the corporate world, which forced me to put my art making on the back burner. Five years ago, I had a short stint of living and working in New England, which awakened something in me. I started sketching nature (something I hadn’t done before). Until then I was a full-fledged city girl, obsessed with architecture, cityscapes and straight lines, when I suddenly found myself enjoying all this natural beauty. I wanted to translate the fascinating and ever changing botanical wonders onto functional objects for my family and friends to enjoy every day.

Now that I live in New York City again with my husband Carlos and my son Ollie and our badass cat Kai in an amazing loft building full of creative peoples. Sometimes I feel that the whole block is permeated with creative energy. Carlos and I are both artists — we met at the School of Visual Arts where we were pursuing our Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees. We are constantly bouncing creative ideas off each other.

My hand painted artwares have been featured on the Martha Stewart Show, marthastewart.com, Apartment Therapy, Apartment Therapy's Re-Nest, the Pioneer Woman website, Design Sponge, Etsy's Front Page, Etsy's Featured Seller, Etsy Finds and Etsy's Wedding Event.
