I am a self taught artist with no formal art education-unless you want to consider one high school art class as a degree? So I guess I am considered a " true" outsider artist, right? I have always enjoyed doing art and making crafts. As a young girl, I made dolls and sold them throughout the neighborhood to make money. I entered a contest at my local library when I was 11,and I took first place (for a drawing I did of Helen Keller!). I also dabbled in poetry and received several awards in High School. After I graduated, I became involved in raising my children and being a housewife and didn't have time to do much art. It wasn't until recently that I again picked up my brushes, molded some clay, and drew some pictures.
I do commission works of all kinds, from "haunting your house," to sculpting a bust of you or your children or loved ones (even pets), etc. I am a multi-talented artist who works in all kinds of meduims, from clay to wood, acrylics, oils, watercolors, pastels, miniature art cards, etc.
