Bio

I love to create things, really anything. I began as a child by drawing the Iranian Shah's head in fourth grade. I remember how painstakingly I drew all the folds in his head dress. It took me hours, and I was so proud of that drawing. I had no idea who he was.

Later, at 11, it was a lion's head. But as soon as mom told me it was beautiful, I ripped it up. I ha™ve never been very good at accepting a compliment. I think the Shah was safe from my violent hand only because no one told me it was great. They just put it on the bulletin board. Ha.

I began my affair with beads as a teenager, stringing away to Edie Brickell and the New Bohemians, the Indigo Girls and REM. Needless to say, most of my early work would have been very popular at a Grateful Dead or Dave Matthew's concert.

Nowadays, I am inspired and fascinated by the play of dark and light, austerity and opulence. Dwell magazine and architectural digest give me inspiration. Oxidized silver is my favorite, and I love to mix it with gold, and then bring in dramatic, exotic stones.

Please know that each piece is made in the spirit of Love.

I hope you enjoy my jewelry as much as I enjoy creating it for you.
