Bio
Since I was a child, I've been fascinated with beads and design. It wasn't long until pony beads were abandoned for gems and two-dimensional drawings became schematics for designs. My first beading job was making rosaries and soon I was searching for the next technique.
I'm always on the look-out for the design that "sings" to me, and when I have an idea in my head for the next project, I can't sleep until I've put all the components together. I feel my designs VERY strongly.

PRESENTATION IS KEY
**********
I fully believe that the way you feel when you're opening something can make it feel even more special. Can you imagine? You're opening something you've been expecting. You know what's in the box... but what if the materials used made it even more exciting? I try to package each of my pieces like a standalone presentation. Jewelry is sent in a nice box (when the piece can be contained in one without bending or stressing it) with tissue paper and decorations that occur to me while I'm "in the moment" wrapping things up. I try to make it a fun experience and imagine what the person would feel like while opening it when it reaches its destination.

WANNA SWAP?
**********
I am a nut for fragrances and bath goods, and I love others' jewelry as much as my own, especially when it employs a technique I'm not familiar with, or a material I'm not accustomed to working with (polymer clay, lampwork, soldering, assemblages, etc). If you think I might be interested in your shop and you've zeroed in on something in mine, please propose a swap. I'm all for trading!

CUSTOM PIECES/COMMISSIONS
**********
Sorry, but as of 9/15/07, I can no longer do custom pieces or commissions. My current work schedule (60 to 70 hours per week) permits little time for beadwork as it is, to the extent that even one or two custom pieces per week means that I do not have the opportunity to design new pieces for the shop. Part of what makes this an outlet for me is designing new and interesting pieces on the fly.
I want to thank everyone for their patience during commissions in the past, and I hope to return to my schedule of adding one or two new pieces per day (at least) in a wide variety of styles!

SHIPPING
**********
I try to keep my shipping (both domestic and international) low by using First-Class Mail, and because my full-time job occupies postal hours, I can only ship on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
If you need something to ship before that, add $3 for Priority Mail and PLEASE let me know when it needs to be there in your notes when you make the purchase.
My grasp of Customer Service is intuitive: I will treat you the way I would wish to be treated under the same circumstances. I will do my level-best to make sure it gets to its recipient on time and to keep you informed at each step.

GIFTS
**********
Let me know when the piece you're purchasing is for a gift, and if you would like it wrapped accordingly, or otherwise packaged. Also, if you would like to include a note, please put that part in the notes section or via the conversation module here on Etsy.

RETURNS
**********
While I can't replace lost pieces free of charge, I will make repairs and adjustments as needed WHENEVER they're needed. Please note that adjustments that add a significant amount of materials or labor (i.e., wire-wrapping or sterling silver instead of silvertone) to the necklace may result in further cost. Please read the description of the items carefully, as I always try to fully disclose the length and the materials used.
