Bio

I grew up in the Appalachian valley of Mills River, NC. It was then I discovered a love for the outdoors and passion for Drawing and Illustration. I enrolled in the School of Art at East Carolina University in 1998 and Graduated Fall of 2000. At ECU I began making and exhibiting Large Scale Steel Sculpture. In 2000 I was awarded a rivers scholarship to study sculpture at Pedvale, an open air museum near the Baltic sea in Latvia. In 2003 I was accepted into the MFA Sculpture program at UNC-Greensboro.
