Bio

Welcome to jefdesigns, a one man (and dog) company founded in 2003 by Joe Futschik. Influenced by graphic design, architecture, furniture and textiles, Joe designs and hand fabricates all work out of his studio in Portland, OR.
Trained in fine art at Connecticut College and a resident of Portland, OR since 1995, Joe developed an obsession with modern design that strongly influenced his view of art. His work ranges from painted wall graphics to lighting and furniture.

A guiding principle of jefdesigns is that thoughtfully designed space evokes balance, purpose, order and harmony. The sense of peace we achieve from such an environment affects us more than we know. The mission of jefdesigns is to create objects that enhance space and become an integral part of their surroundings.
The work of jefdesigns has been used for cafes, restaurants, nightclubs, hotels and department stores as well as private residences.
The work of jefdesigns has also appeared in several magazines and design blogs.

jefdesigns lighting and graphic art can be found in several retail stores in the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico.
