I am a stay at home mom of two wonderful little boys. I quit my full time job when my oldest son was seven months old to stay home with him. I have been beading and crocheting since college, knitting for about a year, and sewing for as long as I can remember. I have always had a rampant artistic streak. I have finally found an outlet for my crafty side. We discovered cloth diapers when my oldest was about 18 months. I now have two in cloth, and wool is my favorite diaper cover. It is my pleasure to share my passions with you.

I use mainly recycled fabrics in my creations. I love the challange of giving new life to discarded items. I love the thrill of the hunt and the excitement of treasure gleaned from what someone considered "junk". I love the satisfaction of creating beautiful and useful things without contributing to the manufacture of new goods or increasing my footprint upon the earth.

Wool is a terrific option for a diaper cover. It's a natural fiber that is very breathable. More air to your baby's tush means less diaper rash. It also helps your baby to temperature regulate, keeping him warm in the winter and cool in the summer. It's naturally water resistant and antimicrobrial. All of my wool wraps, soakers and longies are made from hand selected 100% wool sweaters in excelent condition. Most are lambs wool or merino, as these prove to be the softest.

Fleece is very similar to wool in it's breathability and water resistance. Since it does not contain the self cleaning properties of wool, it does need to be washed more often, but as it is poylester, it can be thrown into the washing machine with the rest of your diaper laundry.
