Welcome! "Mt. Joy school" is the name of my home and my art studio. I live in a quaint, but crumbling, restored 1885 one-room, brick schoolhouse that is surrounded by picturesque Pennsylvania farmland, with my two tots. I am a professional, degreed artist. Formerly employed as adjunct faculty in art at two local colleges, I stopped teaching after my second child, my son, was diagnosed with autism. Simply put, my presence was required at home to attend to his therapy. I've never met an artistic media that I did not like. In my listings you'll find an eclectic mix of works in various 2D media. I love abstraction, but, I love realism too, and I move easily between them. I do not consider myself to be a career online seller. Most of my time is spent, and the bulk of my income derived from gallery exhibition, shows, publication and private and public commissions. On Etsy you will find my smaller pieces and studies; those works which precede a bigger, gallery piece. The listings will change often and be eclectic. Usually I don't list the bigger, more costly pieces here, because they take too long to sell. However, if you're interested in something large, please convo me. I exhibit occasionally, mostly in PA., MD. and DE.; and I am always looking for interesting exhibitions, shows or sale venues. I love to take commissions and fill custom orders, but I often have a queue and custom works do take time. I put my heart and soul into all that I do, so the artwork will be worth the wait!
