ABOUT THE JEWELRY
I keep a design journal at hand to quickly sketch the jewelry designs that pop into my head throughout the day. Upon returning to my studio, I take out my sketch pad & color pencils and the design begins to take shape and a life of its own. What began as a quick pencil sketch in a tiny notebook becomes a whole colorful creation and sometimes not what I thought it to be when I created the initial sketch.

My line of jewelry is versatile & contemporary with a touch of classic inspiration. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted and eye catching without being overwhelming. My line is for the woman who wants that piece of jewelry that will flatter and pull her ensemble together, regardless of what she decides to wear or where she decides to go.

I use only quality precious and semi-precious gemstones, precious & gold-filled metals, copper, freshwater pearls, and glass & vintage beads.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER - DEVONA
I am a native of Washington, DC (There are very few of us). I live in Maryland with my husband and our two little boys (two very spoiled and much loved Devon Rex cats). I am a self-taught designer, and I created the Chic Adornments line in my studio in my home in Maryland right outside of Washington, DC.

For me, jewelry design and creation began in 2003 as a very expensive hobby that grew into a passion. I love the hunt for colorful gems, and I love designing and creating new pieces of jewelry. Finally, in 2005, I knew that I needed to try my hand at turning this self-taught craft into a business. So, in September 2005, I created Chic Adornments and in December of that year, I began to sell my line of fine handcrafted jewelry.

PAYMENT:
Chic Ardornments only accepts payment through Paypal. Paypal allows buyers to pay for items using credit cards.

RETURN/REFUND POLICY:
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, items must be returned to Chic Adornments within in 5 days of receipt of the item(s). The buyer needs to contact Chic Adornments to alert us of the return.

When we receive the item(s), we will refund the cost of the items(s) minus the shipping cost and a $3.00 restocking fee. The item(s) must be returned in their original/unworn condition. Please return them in the box you received them in and securely pack them to ensure that they will not be damaged while in transit in the postal mail system. When we receive the items and determine that they are in there original unworn condition, we will send the aforementioned refund, via Paypal.

We recommend purchasing mailing insurance at the time you mail the package in the event the item(s) are damaged while in transit in the postal mail system. Chic Adornments cannot be responsible for returned items that are damaged while in transit in the postal mail system.
