After I started knitting, then crocheting, then sewing I started to see all this waste or stockpiling of materials. What to do with all of those odd bits? How would I keep myself dedicated to using them before buying new supplies? And why aren't there more patterns for these kinds of things? Well, an all in one solution was to start a blog and get some creative accountability going. I dedicated myself to searching my stash and writing patterns for what I found there. Once a month that was the goal. Within 3 months it was twice a month and now it's every week. I love working with things that would normally end up in the trash. Finding a use for the "worthless" materials. I wanted to start sharing my stash and finding a use for all the things I was making too. I started selling kits and handmade items around Jan of 06 and it's really taken off from there. Now I've started finding a place for the odd bits that I can't find a use for, or they are too numerous that I could never use them all in my life. That's where the reclaimed craft leftovers comes from.
