Yokoso! Welcome and thank you for visiting.

Everything is handmade by Satomi expect the supplies. Handmade meaning everything is pre-washed, cut, sewn, knotted, folded, design coordinated, photographed, described, packed, mailed and all correspondence is done only by Satomi.

Yep...A one woman show.

Emphasis mainly on Japanese design or influence. I love the process of making things, especially stuff that's found in Japan. Thus the name Japanese Handmade Etc. The Etc part is because I love making all kinds of stuff.

I feel so lucky to have lived in Japan for 14 years and to be a native English speaker. Etsy allows me to combine my background and love of crafting to be able to share it with a community of those who have an appreciation for the quarky, who want to stay away from the mass-produced items as well as those who want to know the person behind the handmade product.
