jonabags is a one-woman bag-making operation that started in a cute little apartment near downtown Los Angeles, but has recently moved to Breckenridge, Colorado! When I (Jona) am not working full-time, I try to sew as much as possible.

For years, I've made handbags for fun to give as gifts, to sell to friends, family, and co-workers, and to sell at a few street fairs here and there. But after constant pestering from my family and friends (thanks, guys!), I've decided that it's time to move into the 21st century and to start selling on the web. So here I am! All bags are made in my one-woman sweatshop (aka my bedroom), on my wonderfully resilient 1970s Singer I inherited from my grandmother. Since I work full time, making bags provides me with a much-needed creative outlet where I can design and create things that I hope many others can enjoy too.

All bags are made with great attention to detail to ensure that your bag is not just beautiful and eye-catching, but also well constructed and durable. I am obsessed with cottons, so most of my bags are made of a combination of printed cottons, but I also throw in denim, corduroy, twills, and brushed velvets here and there.

I will gladly do custom orders, so if you have a certain fabric/design/size in mind, please let me know and I would be more than happy to make a bag just for you.
