Creativity is my lifelong passion so it's just natural that I found Etsy! I've found myself very much at at home with all of the wonderful and diverse artists who play here!

I've been an artist since I was old enough to clutch a fat crayon in my chubby toddler fist and scribble. As a real live (almost grownup) artist I still love to create things that bring people joy and perhaps even make them giggle!

Felt is my favorite material for my whimsical animal creations. I just love the warmth of felt fabric and how it appeals texturally to my eye. My feltidermy and plush creatures appeal to the impish child side of my personality, the kid who sat cross legged on the living room floor watching Bugs Bunny on Saturday morning. I've always just loved cartoons and it shows in my one of a kind works of hand stitched art.
Hand stitching allows me to connect and bond with my work and makes me feel as if I'm molding and breathing life into my animals while I'm creating. Kinda like Geppetto!

I work as an independent artist and every one of my of my girlsavage creations are handmade by me alone. Each and every creature I make is always one of a kind. You'll never see another one quite like the one you own again. I promise.

I live a happy artist's life in the beautiful city of Chicago with my delightful artist husband and 2 uppity cats that allow us to live with them. The kitties begrudgingly allowed us to adopt a dog this year; however all of our real life animals are kept safely away from all fabrics, finished works and shipping materials.

Thanks for checking out my Etsy shop!
