Bio

I am Sherry Aikens a Designer at Home Mother of 2.

I have been design and sewing for 30 years this year, WOW I am getting older...I walked out of the womb with a sewing machine… just ask my mother that is how she tells it. My Mother showed me the machine at age seven and never sewed herself again…I was a machine hog.

As a teen I worked in a fabric store which stared my very extensive stash, some of it is now considered vintage. Then I went to college I have a Bachelors In Fashion Design.

So if you do the math you know how old I am.

I spent 16 years in the apparel industry in design and manufacturing. While working I was fortunate to travel which directly affects how I look at design and apparel.

3 Years ago... took a hiatus off to raise my children and I need to keep my creative juices flowing. So I started Baby Pop Designs.

Because of my professional life my items are made with quality and care. The edges are not only serged but also finished professional.

Please read my feedback for what my customers think. Many have come back for more.

My View on my Creativity....
My love of crafting and sewing starts with the fabric and yarns. MORE FABRIC ...MORE YARN....I see something and the ideas flow.
My designs come from everywhere my kids, my husband and my friends...I am inspired by my thirst for life..so take a look you will hopefully enjoy them too.

BabyPop was Featured on Good Morning America May 22, 2009, Also an Etsy Featured seller, Rececipt of the Judges Award For Etsy handmade Kids- for a dress design.

Many or my clothes are 2-3 of a kind so many have sold out but you can still see them. Also my capes you can view other color combos..
