Bio

ANNIE MOHAUPT is the founder of Mohop.

Annie grew up on a small sheep farm about 100 miles west of Chicago. Her greatest inspiration growing up was her mother, an original do-it-yourselfer who could do anything from weaving an award-winning cape from the wool of her sheep to changing out the muffler on her car.
Annie's degree is in architecture, and she worked in the field for close to 7 years. Annie started making sandals in 2005 as an experiment to see if she could indeed make sandals. It was more work than she expected.
If Annie didn't spend all her time making shoes and thinking about making shoes, she would enjoy: going to the movies; game nights; tea time; fat novels; slow jogs with Kiddo the Dog; and vegan cupcakes.

SIAMAK MOSTOUFI is our muscle and money man.

Siamak was born in Ahwaz, Iran and moved to Illinois with his American mother and Iranian father in 1979. Siamak grew up in a small town outside of Springfield where he enjoyed taking things apart, drawing and cycling.
Siamak has a couple degrees in architecture. In addition to working full time at DMAC Architecture, renovating their old house and taking his architectural licensing exams, Siamak works on admin work for the shoe business and helps carry heavy stuff.
