LibroLibra's Profile
Bio
I'm a librarian by day and a beader by night. I've always loved jewelry and cobbled together odd earrings and finally picked up books from the library years ago and learned the basics. I quickly became addicted to the ever-changing, organic process of making jewelry.
I've acquired so many favorites over the years that my style ranges the gamut from classic to modern. I am truly, madly, and deeply addicted with incorporating wire work into my pieces.
When I'm not beading, I'm reading. Very often I do both at the same time--I highly recommend books on CD for reading on the go! Here's a list of some fantastic audio books I've listened to, in no particular order:
Chrestomanci series, Diana Wynne Jones
A Brief History of the Dead, Kevin Brockmeier
Mirror, Mirror, by Gregory Maguire
Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell, Susanna Clarke
Odd Thomas series, by Dean Koontz
Parable of the Sower, by Octavia E. Butler
The Kite Runner, by Khaled Hosseini
Cell, by Stephen King
The Bartimaeus Trilogy, by Jonathan Stroud
The Shadow of the Wind, Carlos Ruiz Zafon
His Dark Materials trilogy, by Phillip Pullman
The Thief Lord, by Cornelia Funke
Anansi Boys, by Neil Gaiman
The Shadow of the Wind, Carlos Ruiz Zafon
Thursday Next series, Jasper Fforde
Uglies, Scott Westerfeld
Oh, and the Harry Potter series, U.S. version. Jim Dale has won awards for a very good reason, people.
