Bio

I am...

Jessica Wolf, a representative of Red Tree Gallery in Cincinnati, OH. (www.redtreegallery.net)

An artist and general crafter, shuffling around bits of paper and sewing things together. Also known to take some photos now and then.

I grew up driving my parents crazy by putting stickers on everything. There was usually paint or ink staining my hands through high school. Made my dad nervous by going to college for photography, and ended up working in package design to foot my bills.

I've been making books since I was living in my stinky basment studio at Murray State University; a room which I later discovered was used as storage for books. (Anyone a fan of irony?)

Old objects, stains, rust, dust, vintage photographs, vaudeville, alternative process, binding, weathered paper, dark humor, surrealist photography, thread, touchy-feely stuff, floral patterns, travel, coffee, masks, weird dreams, torn edges, attics, unusual words, poetry... these things inspire me.

And should you be wondering, "Libellus" is Latin for "little book."
