Bio

"The greatest fine art of the future will be the making of a comfortable living from a small piece of land".

We are a couple of artists (Shannon Rankin and Justin Richel) who live and work in Maine. We have a knack for finding unique vintage items and rescuing them from the landfill. Of course we can't keep everything we find... So, that is where you come in! In fact, we intend to let go of a whole lot of things over the next couple of years including clearing out our collections of miscellaneous art supplies, etc..

Why? You might ask...

Well, all of the income generated from this little shop will go directly into our "H" fund. Someday, we hope to buy a little piece of land that we can call "Home".

Wish us luck, or better yet, pick up a little something special for your home.
;)

Big thanks!!!

Ancient History

Altered Vintage originally began in 2006 as an early business venture for me (Shannon Rankin). At that time, I focussed my energies on altering vintage clothing, and creating fabric jewelry with vintage materials. Though this is something I still yearn to return to, I am currently focussing my attention on building an art career. http://www.artistshannonrankin.com
