Bio

Lane Collins was born and raised in Hickory, North Carolina, where she became interested in taking pictures as a teenager. She studied photography at the San Francisco Art Institute and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2005. In her senior year, she was selected to participate in a student travel group and spent a month in Ladakh, India - an experience which made her eager to see more of the world. She is now living in Nelson, New Zealand as an emerging fine art and editorial photographer, and currently focusing on a very personal body of work inspired by the experience of moving to the other side of the world.
