You already know that scented candles (and other scented stuff) make you happy, but do you know why?

The mood-boosting effects of good fragrances are very real. You aren't just imagining the increased cheer and energy you feel - scented candles directly stimulate your memory and emotions.

*How Scented Candles Boost Emotion*
Scent is processed in one of the oldest parts of your brain (the limbic system), which also takes care of emotion and motivation. Basically, when you smell something, you react with emotion - and sometimes even physical action! (Wouldn't a candle that makes you want to exercise be great?)

What's more is that these reactions occur subconsciously. Even if the scent is too faint for us to recognize - even in *sleep* - it still affects your brain waves.

Scented candles are an easy way to tap into this mood-enhancing capacity. You can instantly give yourself and those around you an automatic mood boost.

*What Scents Are Effective*
While any good plant or flower fragrance will do, most of our strongest emotion-scent links come from experience. For example, I can't stand the smell of roses, because it reminds me of the rose potpourri in my dentist's office. But I love the scent of fabric softener because it reminds me of college.

Most of my candles are designed to take advantage of this. I focus on scents that already have a strong positive association, such as warm laundry, a baking yellow cake from a mix, and a cup of hot chocolate (the kind you get in a styrofoam cup at the ice rink.)

*About My Candles*
Each candle comes in a cool round tin with labels designed and printed by me. The tins are no-fuss and can be stored easily on a messy desk, or shoved in a drawer. Most of the candles smell good even when unlit (a few don't smell until you light them.)

At $3 for a 2 ounce tin, and $5.50 for a 4 ounce, the 10 - 25 hours of mood enhancement is well worth the few dollars. The candles last much longer than a Starbucks fancy latte and give the same kind of good feeling (but without the calories.)

Read through the descriptions and see if any of the scents resonate with you. I always ship 1st class or Priority mail so you will get your candles as fast as the mail system can handle them.

Order now, and use your "mood-boosting device" to get you through a hard day at the computer, boring chores, PMS, or recovering from tedious meetings. (My customers have told me that Viking is especially good as a productivity enhancer.)

When you do use my candles, let me know how you like them. Tell me what kinds of good emotions and memories they inspire.
