ABOUT ME:
My name is Elaine, I'm 39 years old, and received my fine arts degree at the Emily Carr Institute of Art & Design (Canada) in 1991. I am a full-time artist (painter), jewelry craftsman, milliner, handbag designer, PPFA certified picture framer, webmistress, and an all-around artsy-fartsy type. I also like to refinish antique furniture, and sew Victorian style corsets for myself in my "spare" time. In fact, I'm never happy unless I have more than 5 projects on the go! The style of my work is the result of an obsession with vintage fashion (1860 - 1930) blended with modern Gothic style. A mix which produces a very dark yet sophisicated look.
